Request Data Deletion
Last updated: July 2026
Delete your account in the app (recommended)
Split & Done, operated by m6designer, respects your right to delete your account and associated data. The fastest way is directly in the app:
1. Open the Split & Done app and go to your Profile.
2. Under "Privacy and data", tap "Delete my account".
3. Read the warning and type the confirmation word.
4. Keep the screen open while personal profile photos are removed through the storage service.
5. Your login is deleted and the app signs you out only after storage cleanup and anonymization are verified. If processing is interrupted or a large inventory remains, the same request can be retried safely while your session stays open.
Alternative: request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion of your account and personal data by sending an email to:
support@splitndone.com
Please include in your email:
• The email address associated with your Split & Done account.
• A clear statement that you wish to delete your account and all associated data.
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation once your data has been deleted.
What data is deleted
• Your account and all authentication data.
• Your profile (name, phone, photo).
• Groups where you were the only member (including their expenses and settlements).
• All your friendships and pending invitations.
• Your push notification token.
• Your personal activity timeline history.
• Personal profile-image files attributed to your account, including legacy paths discovered from storage ownership metadata.
What data is retained
• Shared groups, expenses, settlements and comments are kept in anonymized form ("Deleted user") so the balances and history of other group members are not broken. They are no longer linked to any identifiable information about you.
• Shared group images remain available to group members; storage ownership that referred to your login is detached.
• Anonymous crash reports and performance data already sent to Sentry cannot be retroactively deleted from monitoring systems.
• A deletion workflow record containing internal identifiers and technical status may be retained for up to 90 days for security and deletion verification, then purged.
• Server logs may retain non-content technical events for a limited time for security purposes.
